Where We Build

Habitat builds throughout Rockland County on donated and purchased land.

To date we have built ten homes in Haverstraw, Village of Hillburn and Spring Valley.  With the completion of these homes we have provided safe, affordable housing for hard working families in our Rockland community.

What do the homes look like?
Standard new construction habitat homes include 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living and dining rooms.  Our newly constructed homes are designed and built to achieve Energy Star standards.

How much will it cost?
Habitat of Rockland homes are financed with affordable, zero-interest, non-profit mortgages.  A small monetary down payment and closing costs are require, plus your sweat-equity contribution.

How are the homes built?
Volunteers and sponsor groups provide much of the labor and funds needed to build Habitat homes.  Habitat of Rockland's seasoned construction staff oversees all aspects of the building process.
